Inspired by the Sami kåta

The Sami kåta is a simple cone-shaped frame of wooden poles covered with animal hides, with an opening at the top to let out smoke. The indigenous Sami people of northern Scandinavia could very quickly build a wind-resistant home that was easy to keep warm, as they followed the migration of their reindeer herds.

Tentipi Nordic tipis are based upon the traditional design principles of the Sami kåta, coupled with innovative new design, and the latest materials and construction techniques.

Installation Requirements
Ground: Flat, grassy area measuring 60 feet by 60 feet
Stakes: 9 - 24 inch stakes required for safety and stability as well as multiple 9-12 inch stakes for wall stability.
Underground lines must be marked by client prior to tent installation.

Walls down: 850 square feet

Seating Capacity: Up to 100 guests
Standing Capacity: Up to 120 guests

Timeline

Installation : Approximately 6 hours
Install happens the day prior to event day and taken down the following day.
Nordic Tent rentals are 48 hours with event use only.
No overnight accommodations permitted unless contracted per your event.
